My HUAWEI phone/tablet's battery drains quickly and has a short standby time

Use one-touch power saving or one-touch optimization features for automatic diagnosis and optimization

Method 1: Go to Settings > Battery, and select Power Saving mode. This mode will restrict background activities.

Method 2: Open the phone/tablet manager app, touch OPTIMIZE, and optimize the power saving settings based on the test results.

Method 3: Open the My HUAWEI app, and go to Support > Checkup > Battery.

Method 4: Go to Settings > Launch manager, swipe right on the function keys for automatic app management, or swipe left for manual app management. (You can choose whether to allow background activities.)

Apps whose background activities are not allowed will be stopped from running by default after the screen is turned off. When you open it again, such apps may start up a little slowly, during which the CPU (processor) will run with high payload for a short period of time. When multiple apps are started for the first time, it is normal that the phone heats up obviously.

Enable smart resolution to save power

Go to Settings, search for "screen resolution" at the top, and follow the onscreen instructions to go to the Smart Resolution settings screen and enable Smart Resolution.

Stop running apps that are not frequently used

Three-key navigation: Touch the box button in the lower right corner, select an app, and swipe up to close it or touch the delete button at the bottom to close all apps.

Gesture navigation: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and pause. Touch and hold an app and swipe up to close it, or touch the delete button at the bottom to close all apps.

Enable Power Saving mode

Go to Settings > Battery and enable Power Saving mode.
