What is Smart Charge? How does it protect Battery? |
Smart Charge is a new battery protection feature for selected Huawei phone models. When you charge your phone for a long time, the built-in AI module can learn from your charging habits, your settings including the alarm clock and time zone, and other configuration information, and intelligently manage the charging status. For example, charging will pause when the battery level reaches about 80% at night. Before you get up, charging will resume to fully charge your phone. This prevents your phone from being charged while its battery is already full, thereby effectively prolonging the lifespan of the battery. |
|
Does Smart Charge affect the charging speed? |
No, it does not. Smart Charge is designed for users who are used to charging overnight, or for a long time. For example, when you charge your phone overnight, charging will be paused when the charging progress reaches about 80%, and it will resume before you get up. This mode does not affect the charging speed and power of your device and can effectively prolong the battery lifespan. It is recommended that you keep this mode enabled. |

Does Smart Charge increase power consumption or affect battery life? |
No, it does not. The battery life depends on the usage scenario and battery ageing. Smart Charge is designed to slow down battery ageing without affecting the power consumption and battery life of the device. |
