My phone or tablet is unable to provide an accurate location or navigate |
There are various factors that may affect the positioning and navigation results. To troubleshoot the issue, perform the following:
If your phone is running EMUI 8.X or an earlier version, select
for your navigation app.High-rise buildings, densely concentrated buildings, roofs, and walls will affect GPS signals, resulting in inaccurate positioning results. It is recommended that you connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network or move your phone to an open area to receive better signal.
GPS signals are weak in places with obstacles, such as tunnels, elevated highways, and mountainous areas. In general, GPS signals can go back to normal when you leave such places. If the GPS signal is weak all the time, restart your phone and try again.
If you are using a metal case, or magnetic case or phone holder, remove the case or phone holder and try again. This is because metal or magnetic materials can affect or even shield GPS signals, so your phone may be unable to receive GPS signals while obtaining a location or navigating.
If the issue remains unresolved, take your phone and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
